Your property's page doesn't force one way of getting paid. Stripe is one of the choices, and it's the one where the money never passes through Amplistay at all — it lands in your own account, the same one you could log into on stripe.com and check yourself.
A guest's payment doesn't have to feel like a black box you're trusting a platform to eventually settle. When you connect Stripe, every charge — a new booking, an extra night, an early check-in — is processed on your own Stripe account, not a shared pool Amplistay manages on your behalf. Amplistay's role in that transaction is to trigger it and, if your plan has a fee, to have Stripe split it off automatically in the same instant. It never sits in an intermediary balance, never waits on a payout schedule someone else controls.
Several ways to get paid, Stripe is the direct one
A property's page can be set up to take payment through Amplistay's own Stripe-powered checkout, through an external channel manager's own widget, or through nothing more than a contact form where you close the booking yourself. Stripe is the option built for hosts who want to be paid automatically, in full, without waiting on a manual transfer or a "request a payout" button — the charge and the deposit are the same event.
Where the money actually goes
When you connect Stripe, you're not handing Amplistay your banking details — you're creating your own standard Stripe account, the same kind any business owner opens directly with Stripe. Amplistay never sees your bank account number, never holds a balance on your behalf, and never has a say in when or whether you get paid. You can open your own Stripe dashboard at any time and see the exact same charges, payouts, and history Stripe shows you — because it's your account, not a view into someone else's.
What you actually pay
On the Fixed Rate plan, Amplistay takes 0% of every charge — that's already covered by the flat monthly fee, not skimmed per booking. What's left is Stripe's own processing fee, the same one any business pays to accept a card payment anywhere, and it's between you and Stripe, not a markup Amplistay adds on top. You can check exactly what that costs on Stripe's own pricing page before you connect anything.
Setup is a few minutes with Stripe, not paperwork with us
Connecting Stripe means going through Stripe's own onboarding — your details, your bank account, your ID verification, all handled on Stripe's side, the same flow used by businesses everywhere that aren't on Amplistay at all. There's no separate application to Amplistay, no waiting on approval from us. Once Stripe confirms your account, charges start settling there immediately.
Switching how you get paid never means rebuilding
Nothing about choosing Stripe locks your page into it forever. If a property later moves to a contact-form-only setup, or starts running new bookings through a channel manager while keeping extensions on Stripe, the page itself doesn't change — only how a guest ends up paying does.
